  I will never forget how Dr Clark James walked into the room. He was dragging his feet, clearly looking fed up with all the patients he had seen that day. He collapsed on the chair and abruptly asked, " What's up?" Prior to my appointment I took concise notes of my condition to make the appointment easy for both of us. I explained to him my condition as clearly and as concisely as possible while he was wearing a disgusted look on his face. He suddenly interrupted me by saying, " What are you talking about?" in the most intimidating, unsympathetic, inconsiderate ways. I perplexedly asked what it was that made him think so. He retorted, " The whole story does not seem right. You are contradicting yourself." I was even more puzzled trying to decipher how a patient could be contradicting himself/herself while describing his/her condition. I calmly tried to explain again while he was still collapsed on his chair with a wooden face. He finally and abruptly concluded, "Anyway, you need to have a stool test."
  
  Unfortunately, my sad story did not end there. It seems he forgot to write the right order, so while waiting at the lab for ages, I finally was called for my turn. When I presented the sample, they refused to take it because his order did not reflect that particular test. The lady at the reception was very helpful and tried her best to solve my dilemma. She called the doctor on- call who happened NOT to be Dr. Clark. Evidently this doctor had no idea how to handle this issue since I was not his patient, so he started asking the receptionist some questions about my condition. She was able to convey my message to him. Then she gestured that the doctor apparently had figured out the type of test needed. With much relief, I went and sat back on my chair when all of sudden she asks loudly in a crowded waiting room, " Do you have diarrhea or constipation?" Imagine my embarrassment as I walked back to her to whisper the answer. Had Dr. Clark been responsible and conscientious enough, I would not have been in that situation. Upon my follow- up appointment with him, I mentioned the mix up that happened. He became red in the face and he almost yelled at me defensively and billegerently, fiercely denying that he could have made such a mistake.
  
  In my humble opinion, a successful doctor should have the following attributes: empathy, humility, responsibility, competency and honesty- NONE of which so-called Dr Clark possesses.
